CHILD STIMULATION MANUAL

Description of a session

Early stimulation is the set of means, techniques, and activities with a scientific basis and applied in a systemic and sequential manner that is used in children from birth to six years of age, with the aim of fully developing their cognitive, physical and mental abilities. Also allows to avoid undesirable stages in development and help parents, with efficiency and autonomy, in the care and development of the infant. (Orlando Terre, 2002).

The stimulation of the KIDZ PLAY & PARTY program is based on cognitive modification, mediated learning experience, Reuven Feuerstein’s (1990) instrumental enrichment program, Vygotzky’s concept of proximal development (1998) framed in the bioconceptual concept of Brofenbrener (1994), which represent a conglomerate that supports the concept that early stimulation helps to strengthen the body, develop the emotions and intelligence of any child in any of their birth conditions and current situation; joining play activities (hug him, congratulate him, smile at him, talk to him) in the midst of motor activities to contribute to his full development and health care.

Description of a session

Specialists in the children’s area apply various techniques focused mainly on cognitive, motor, linguistic, social and effective education through bodily actions: such as playing, jumping, manipulating objects, among others to be able to situate themselves in the world and intuitively acquire the necessary learning to develop. in school and in life. In this playful way and almost without realizing it, they work on concepts related to space (up/down, front/back, right/left,…), time (speed, rhythm, duration,…), motor skills necessary for balance, sight , the relationship between other children, etc. with the consequent effects on the best training in writing, reading and mathematics, essential today for academic success.

It is a routine of circuit-type activities, in which parents/caregivers and children participate for 45 minutes. In it, babies/children from 1 month to 6 years old share games, exercises and songs that seek the development of all areas of child development.

Guided Play:

Guided recreational activities to strengthen learning through free play, set with significant children’s themes.
